True to Innovation
Quality since 1945
True’s story began in 1945 when Robert (Bob) J. Trulaske returned from WW II. One night while out a bar, Bob had the idea of using electric-powered refrigeration for commercial use. With the help of some family members, the first-ever commercial refrigeration units were born, right in the Trulaske backyard.
Today, that same innovation and passion is carried out by Bob’s son, who is the current CEO of True Manufacturing. From these humble beginnings, we’ve come a long way. True now supply refrigeration equipment to established and emerging chains across the globe. With offices and facilities in the UK, Switzerland, Australia and South America, True products can be found in foodservice operations all around the world.

A 7Up salesman discovers a new way to merchandise pre-cooled beverages. 7Up places its first True roll-top cooler order, and the rest is history.

True goes international gaining a foothold in Central America and Caribbean markets.

Coca Cola company approves True equipment as True introduce flat top bottle coolers.

True begins developing its first commercial refrigeration equipment for the foodservice industry.

As industry demands increase, so does True's production with the addition of 10,000m2 of factory space every 2.5 years.

The first verisons of enduring products like our upright freezers, undercounters, and prep tables are launched with patented designs and technology innovations only available from True.

Far in advance of the regulation, True was already testing and developing environment-friendly refrigeration systems for the future.

True launch TCR and TCN products specifically designed for Europe, which exceed current energy performance standards.

True relocaties its headquarters from Germany to Basel, Switzerland.
